Theresa Canavan, FOUNDER, ACCELERATED Insight COACHING
- After 25 years of federal service, including seven years helming leadership and management training programs for government officials at all levels, Theresa retired and founded Accelerated Insight Coaching to bring her knowledge and expertise to a new arena.
- An experienced manager of people and programs, Theresa brings a nuanced understanding of the multiple and competing challenges that leaders face as they juggle leadership and management responsibilities, shifting business landscapes, organizational growth, and their own development. Her commitment to developing others while achieving mission, enhancing efficiencies, and improving results led to high-performing, high-morale groups who consistently outperformed expectations and exceeded objectives.
- Theresa has the tools and understanding to help leaders at all levels meet personal and professional challenges. Paired with her experiences managing and leading complex, collaborative groups across sectors and countries, work as a facilitator, and expertise in adult education, Theresa is uniquely positioned to optimize individual and organizational outcomes, foster resilience, and promote success.
- Theresa trained as an individual coach through George Mason University's Leadership Coaching for Organizational Wellbeing program, which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and as a team coach through Team Coaching International. She earned her Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential through ICF, a rigorous process that requires more than 60 hours of coaching education, at least 100 hours of coaching, and passing knowledge and performance assessments. Her ability to coach and train on emotional intelligence and to teach leaders to navigate change, increase collaboration, enable a group's creativity, and improve teamwork was certified through OKA.
